Our national approach helping children to thrive

Finding the right path

Through our current pathfinder areas in Stoke-on-Trent and Redcar and Cleveland, we’re testing, learning, understanding and creating a best practice approach to build into a framework of how a community can support good child development.

Strengthening local areas

The Centre for Evidence and Implementation is evaluating our work and we are working with the Isos Partnership to consolidate what we are learning into a practical and continually updated “playbook”.

This will be a practical, step-by-step, guide on how to roll out the Thrive at Five approach in areas across the UK to help young children and families thrive in their communities, including providing guidance on the best evidence informed approaches.

As we develop and refine the approach in our current and new pathfinder areas, we are sharing tools and experiences with the wider community committed to improving the development of children in their early years.

How we’re collaborating with others

We partner with national and local organisations that provide additional expertise and knowledge to our work with families and communities and contribute towards the development of the evidence and a playbook of the Thrive at Five approach that is able to benefit children in every community in the UK.

We also work with local collaborators in Stoke-on-Trent and Redcar & Cleveland, connecting parents, carers and organisations to shape and support positive early childhood development.
