Your baby is important, and so are you
Parenthood is full of highs and lows, and it’s easy to forget that your mental health matters just as much as your baby’s wellbeing. Just like you can’t pour from an empty cup, you can’t fully support your child’s growth and development without looking after yourself too.
Taking time for yourself, leaning on friends and family, and reaching out for support when you need it isn’t a sign of weakness - it’s a strength. Whether you need a listening ear, information, or connection with other parents, help is available.
I’d Like to Find Out More About Support
Family Hubs: Our Family Hubs and wider network offer support for families with children aged 0–19 (up to 25 with SEND) across Redcar and Cleveland.
Health Visitors: Your health visiting team is there for you from pregnancy until your child starts school. You can speak to them at your local Family Hub, by calling 01642 444011, or online via the Chat Health website.

I’d Like to Find Local Groups
